Fox's Ipswich to Inverness

Gordon, Kate, George & Wynne

With such a close, capable and jovial crew how could this passage be anything other than a pleasure! From Fox's Marina it's out towards the North Sea. Up around the Suffolk coast, past the Sizewell Nuclear Power Plant to Great Yarmouth and Cromer before heading northwards to the Firth of Forth, Rattray Head and beyond. The weather and wind forecast are good, with Windy predicting variable Southwesterly and Westerly winds for the first two days. By the early hours of day three we found ourselves beating into a Force 7 across the Firth of Forth. On the back of a vicious recent bug, the resolve of Team Farmiloe is heroic, and with some impressive grit throughout, expert trimming from George and morale boosting anecdotes from Wynne, our spirits are soaring across the Moray Firth and on to a blustery arrival in Inverness. Thank you for being such fabulous company and banking some wonderful memories together.
