The Caledonian Canal

Giles, Lucinda & Anabel

Old hand Giles and newbies Lucinda and Anabel joined us in Inverness after the long drive from Pembrokeshire. The weather forecast looks excellent for the week ahead traversing the canal but first of all we had to take the opportunity to explore the beauty of The Black Isle and the landscape  up to Glenmorangie in Tain. After a sample or three releasing the serpent at Tain we headed south to meet Ed at his super 'pocket' gin distillery before having a great evening of music in Inverness and preparing Moana for the morning departure. Ahead was the unusual prospect of introducing Moana to fresh water sailing for the first time. It's a mouth-watering prospect entering this incredible feat of engineering, interlinking the Great Glen of scenic lochs and spectacular mountain scenery. It certainly delivered on every level.
