A Night in Rio

One of the ARC+ events involved a fancy dress party at the local Yacht Club. The 'Night in Rio' gave us a chance to mix with the other crews and families and get to know our neighbours a little bit better.

The drinks flowed thick and fast and everyone took advantage of a break from the pontoon. The quality of the dancing was mixed to say the least, Salsa to Dad Dancing was the order of the night. Prizes were awarded for the best costumes for children, adults and couples. There's a truly international feel with families and crews from Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, France, UK, Ireland, USA, Spain and Poland. Sometimes it's hard to work out where some nomadic yachties are from as they have lived and worked in so many places!
